How do you define monitoring targets?
The configuration of hosts and services in Icinga monitoring is done through the Icinga Web Interface included in the Icinga Managed Service.
How do you add an existing server to monitoring?
In the app view of the Icinga Managed Service on MyNWS select Add Agent, choose the operating system of the existing server, and download the installation script. This script must then be executed on the existing server.
The script configures the existing server accordingly, installs the Icinga client, and establishes a secure connection to the Icinga Managed Service.
How do you change the monitoring interval?
The monitoring interval for a specific check can be adjusted in Icinga Web.
To do this, navigate via Configuration > Hosts to the relevant host, then select the appropriate service in the Services tab, and add another Import with the desired check interval.
