Managing Organizations
What Is an Organization?
An organization can be a private individual, a company, a school, or a government agency. Within an organization you can use Managed Services, the NETWAYS Cloud, NETWAYS Managed Kubernetes or our MyEngineer® Service.
The legal entity stored in the organization is used as the official contact for, e.g., invoices.
Editing an Organization
In MyNWS you reach the organization via the Manage Organization entry in the user menu at the top right.
Here you can, among other things, select the organization type: Private, Business, or School/Authority.
You can also maintain the organization name and the contact information of the (legal) person responsible for the organization.
Leaving an Organization
If you want to leave the currently selected organization, you also do this through the user menu in MyNWS.
After selecting the Leave Organization entry, an additional confirmation dialog appears. Once confirmed, you will leave the current organization.
Leaving as the Last Organization Member
If you are the last remaining member of an organization or the last remaining administrator of an organization, you cannot leave the organization.
Deleting an Organization
When an organization is no longer needed, it can be deleted from the organization menu.
Organization Deletion
Deleting an organization will remove all associated projects and apps.
Organizations should therefore only be deleted after ensuring that none of the resources are needed any longer.
To do this, navigate in MyNWS via the Manage Organization entry in the user menu to the organization view and select Cancel your organization in the Danger Zone.
